FAO Schwarz Reopens as Luxury Toy Store

One time toy store legend FAO Schwarz is back in the toy selling business after a lengthy bankruptcy hiatus. Their focus this time around? Expensive, quality toys (i.e. nothing mass produced which can be found at Wal-Mart). FAO Schwarz has re-opened their flagship store on 5th Ave. in New York City, with a second store already open in Las Vegas. Both stores, among other services, offer costumed entertainers, story telling for the young ones, a high end cafe and a personal shopping service.

One of the most unique items among their luxury toys inventory is the limited edition (100 total) Wild Zebra Rocking Horse. Priced at $9,000, each horse is individually numbered and crafted to high English artistry standards.

Those that can’t decide what to buy their child can always purchase a FAO Schwarz gift card, with denominations up to $100,000.
