New Zealand boat-building company Sensation Yachts is to launch a $60 million super yacht on Monday, Stuff.co.nz website reports.
According to NZPA report, the luxury vessel boasts an expansive area for entertaining, including a saloon with seating for 20 people, a jacuzzi, and accommodation for up to 10 guests and a crew of 12.
Sensation Yachts said the craft was unique even among super yachts because it had been totally designed and constructed by the company, right down to the furniture.
Managing director Paul Sills said the company had set its sights firmly on the international super yacht industry.
The 50m M/Y Sensation will depart Auckland Harbour January for Dubai where she will be a focal exhibit of the Dubai International Boat Show.
After Dubai, the Sensation will then cruise to Singapore, where the Singaporean president will attend an on-board ceremony to mark Sensation Yachts’ recent decision to build a new yacht-building and research facility there.
The Singaporean facility will complement the company’s yacht construction and refit base in Newcastle, Australia, which it bought in 2005.
